About the Role
As an Engineer Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting operations by providing expertise on SOCOM and Joint Staff operations and targeting cycles.
You must have a strong understanding of Tactical Data Links and the routing of COP data, as well as knowledge of all SOCOM and Joint Staff programs of record for COP management, Operational Area of Interest (OAI) management, Commander Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) management, and other software programs available to units that support an operational requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to assigned units to understand unit-specific requirements and report to SOCOM all operation capability gaps for software and technology at the unit level.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and synchronize efforts with Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) and relevant Joint Task Forces.
- Maintain situation awareness on Area of Responsibility (AoR) level working groups related to Mission Command and C2 efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in technical support positions and Operational or Intelligence Community (IC) operations, platforms, functions, and terminology.
- An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility is required.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
Working Conditions
The position requires working in a large facility and may involve travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions.
You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.
