Job Summary
The University of Miami Health System is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Managed Care Operations Director to lead our Managed Care and Business Operations teams. This key role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing the financial performance and operationalization of all third-party managed care contracts.

As a Strategic Managed Care Operations Director, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's success. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategic plans to improve the financial performance and operational efficiency of our managed care contracts.
You will work closely with our leadership team to identify business opportunities, develop and implement strategies to achieve our goals, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise in managed care operations, contracting, and negotiations will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the financial performance and operational efficiency of our managed care contracts.
- Lead and manage the Managed Care and Business Operations teams.
- Collaborate with internal peers and senior leaders to advise on medical economics and contract modeling.
- Participate in all managed care contracting negotiations for the health system.
- Oversee single-case negotiations and operations process for the health system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
