Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Optimization Lead to join our team at Jobleads-US. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic planning and execution of procurement, acquisition, and distribution of raw materials and outside services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize production capabilities, protect market share, and create value through access to raw materials and outside services.
- Create and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and customers to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and contracts, payment terms, and monitor quality of purchased materials and services.
- Lead improvements to business systems resulting in value enhancement of inventory investments and operational versatility.
Requirements
- 7-10 years progressive experience in Purchasing & Sourcing within a manufacturing organization.
- Experience in a multi-plant manufacturing environment with steel purchasing.
- Strong fundamental business understanding of the metals industry and application of topics such as resources, assets, balance sheets, cash flow, fixed assets, margin, return on investment.
- Project management skills to develop work agreements, project scopes, specifications, schedules, timelines, and definition of deliverables.
