What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Head, Classical Hematology position at Jobleads-US?
The Northwell Health Cancer Institute seeks an experienced and proven board-certified physician executive and leader to serve as the System Head of Classical Hematology. The System Head will be responsible for articulating a vision and corresponding plan that fits within the overall Cancer Institute's strategic plan, resulting in being viewed nationally as a leader in clinical care, research, and education. They will drive faculty engagement, oversee professional development, performance improvement, quality assurance, and participation in clinical research to meet the clinical and translational research goals and objectives of the health system, ensuring an integrated and unified approach to patient care across New York City, Long Island and Westchester County. In addition, the System Head, Classical Hematology will have an academic appointment at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. The successful candidate will ideally possess qualifications and experience including an M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine, Board certification in hematology, experience as a department or division head, preferably in a major medical center or health system, experience teaching residents and medical students, and nationally recognized clinical, basic and/or translational research program with an established record of publication in high impact journals.
