Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Auditor III to join our team in the Department of Revenue's Tax Administration Division. As a Tax Auditor III, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision to field auditors, providing technical assistance to agency staff, and ensuring that each audit case is completed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
You will also be responsible for conducting reviews of completed cases to ensure that the standards of quality are maintained, assisting and instructing audit groups in the application of tax laws, rules, and regulations, and reviewing the performance of employees according to the Employee Performance Review System (EPRS).
In addition, you will provide technical assistance to taxpayers by answering questions regarding state tax laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures, and participate in preparing guidelines and making recommendations on rules, regulations, and procedures when requested.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $97,464.38 - $142,079.86 per year. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of full-time professional experience in accounting, auditing, or tax examination, including 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have at least 7 years of full-time professional experience in accounting, auditing, or tax examination, including 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration may be substituted for 2 years of the required experience, and a Graduate degree in accounting, business administration or business management may be substituted for 3 years of the required experience.
