Executive Director, Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy & Nonprofit Studies and Women's Philanthropy Board
The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the fiscal, human resources, external relations, public relations, fundraising/grantsmanship, educational, research, and programmatic functions of the Cary Center and Women's Philanthropy Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance the initiatives of the Cary Center and Women's Philanthropy Board.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, foundations, and other key stakeholders in partnership with the CHS advancement team.
- Market programming opportunities in alignment with College of Human Sciences branding standards.
- Ensure the execution of the College's three-fold mission through innovative partnerships with business, industry, and government.
- Support and deliver outreach courses.
- Provide service learning and/or experiential learning experiences to Human Science students.
Teaching Responsibilities:
The Executive Director will teach credit and non-credit bearing philanthropy & nonprofit courses in alignment with the Consumer and Design Sciences department. Teaching responsibilities will be assigned based on qualifications and program needs.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in development, philanthropy, nonprofit, and/or financial planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage donors, alumni, volunteers, and other stakeholders effectively.
- Experience developing and teaching educational and community programming.
- Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential desired.
