We are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of our US trade compliance program, including restricted and end-use/user screening, export jurisdiction and classification determination, authorization analysis and management, recordkeeping, and procedures and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify compliance risks and manage the life cycle of complex cross-functional compliance programs.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify program and regulatory developments and provide updates to management regarding compliance initiatives impacting company business.
- Report all potential compliance concerns consistent with company requirements and assist with internal investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation, as required.
- Engage all levels across the organization through a function-specific training and communications program.
- Advise on US trade compliance extraterritorial requirements.
Requirements:
- A law degree.
- 5-10 years of professional experience working with international trade law, including the export controls programs required by BIS, OFAC, and other US agencies.
- Flexible within the United States, preferably on east coast time.
