Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Transportation Safety Manager to join our safety management team at Hitachi Rail. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our rail systems and promoting a culture of safety within our organization.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in rail operations safety and experience in managing safety programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement
- Provide training to employees on safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (safety management, engineering, etc.)
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in rail operations safety, including 3 years of supervision experience
- Thorough knowledge of rail operations and associated systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
