Job Summary
This position is responsible for directing and supervising the financial affairs of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the philosophy of Grace Inspired Living. Directly supervises the combined business office with responsibilities for all internal and external financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and maintenance of appropriate internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of the total finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, internal accounting control, and monthly reporting.
- Establishing policies and procedures for the finance department and financial functions within the organization.
- Preparing annual budgets for presentation to Management, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Oversight of the Development Department, including fundraising and cultivation events, grants, capital campaigns, and donor tracking.
- Variety of regulatory reporting, including PA Department of Insurance, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Department of Public Welfare, Internal Revenue Service, PA Department of Revenue, and other agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 7 years of accounting experience in a not-for-profit organization, preferably a Continuing Care Retirement Community, as CFO.
Licenses/Certifications
Certified Public Accountant
