Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Hazard Mitigation Specialist to join our team at Jobleads-US. As an integral part of our Hazard Evaluation System and Information Service, you will play a critical role in identifying and controlling workplace hazards, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, carry out, and provide industrial hygiene expertise for HESIS and OHB public health investigations and research projects of moderate scientific scope and complexity.
- Serve as a team member on more complex projects.
- Research, review, and analyze the scientific literature pertaining to physical, chemical, and biological hazards in the workplace.
- Collaborate with health education staff to develop educational materials, including hazard alerts and fact sheets on hazards that pose acute and chronic health risks to California workers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, sampling design, and applied experience in occupational health or environmental health.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, while performing a wide array of complex work independently.
