Job Summary: As a General Laborer in the plumbing sector, you will support licensed plumbers by performing various manual tasks essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist plumbers in installing and repairing water, gas, and drainage systems.
· Prepare and clean work areas, ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
· Transport and handle plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
· Excavate trenches and backfill holes to lay pipes.
· Cut and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents.
· Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Perform routine maintenance on plumbing tools and equipment.
· Assist in diagnosing plumbing issues and implementing solutions.
· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and any issues
encountered.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in construction or plumbing is advantageous but not mandatory.
· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various
environmental conditions.
· Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and materials.
· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
