Under the direction of the Program Operations Director, the Camp / Program Director oversees the operations of YMCA Camp Shepard, a 105-acre facility offering day camp, year-round outdoor education / recreation programs, youth and adult sports / recreation, and teen programs. As a member of the leadership team, responsibilities include membership development, risk management, building supervision, annual giving campaigns, staffing, designated committees, financial development, and attending YMCA functions. This position is responsible for modeling, teaching, and exemplifying the qualities and values inherent to the mission and purpose of the YMCA.

Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business, education, or an equivalent field.
- Two to three years of camp leadership experience.
- Knowledge of and previous experience with outdoor education, youth and adult sports, and teen programming preferred.
- Requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of : Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
- YMCA Lifeguard Certification and Ropes Course Instructor preferred.
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team / Branch Leader certification preferred.
