Duties and Responsibilities :
- Administrative Functions :
- Direct the day-to-day operations of CNAs or other nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel adhere to the Center's written policies and procedures.
- Regularly review departmental policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions, recommending revisions as needed.
- Provide disciplinary actions and evaluations for assigned CNAs and other nursing personnel, following established guidelines.
- Issue verbal and written warnings to assigned personnel for policy infractions.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services, programs, and activities.
- Maintain the accuracy of the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure adherence by all nursing service personnel.
- Submit written and oral reports on shift activities, as required.
- Coordinate with resident services to ensure comprehensive care.
- Evaluate and implement the Center's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
- Participate in surveys or inspections conducted by authorized government agencies.
- Review and update resident discharge plans, as necessary.
- Interpret departmental policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies.
- Perform administrative duties, including completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting, as required.
Education Requirements :
A minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or completion of an approved LPN / RN program is mandatory for this position.
