Job Summary:
Develop, document and implement programs to deliver Environmental, Health and Safety for the Client account. This position will report to the facility EHS Manager. This position will work to ensure adequate oversight of EHS programs and realize continuous improvement of EHS programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Use expertise in EHS disciplines to oversee EHS programs and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Implement new environmental health and safety programs and initiatives.
- Support incident investigations through analysis of incident root cause data, development of effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence, and communication of key lessons learned.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of chemical production areas, providing feedback to manager.
- Support the Operations team in the safe production of products.
- Work with all teams across the site to further EHS performance and goals.
- Prepare and deliver content to management teams and front line employees (e.g. training, progress reports, recommendations, etc.)
- Assist in implementation of emergency response programs.
- Participate in routine hazard assessments and makes recommendations.
- Participate in audits of all areas of the facility and regularly audit EHS documentation.
- Assists in training of new hires on EHS topics.
- Standardize and document EHS processes
Experience in Process Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) is highly preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $49.00 per hour
