Mission
As the Chief Technology Officer, your mission is to build and lead a world-class technology team that delivers the fastest, most secure, and maintainable products with best-in-class customer satisfaction. You will develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that enables contractors to do the work of two people in half the time using automation & AI while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the software architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Oversee the refactor plan to reduce tech debt and consolidate duplicate code within 18 months.
- Instill a culture of continuous integration & deployment, increasing deployment frequency while reducing failure rates.
- Stay ahead of AI/ML trends and create a roadmap to leverage them for product and engineering efficiencies.
- Improve engineering processes to deliver customer value faster while maintaining reliability and security.
- Reduce change failure rates in production to 0% while maintaining 100% predictability in scoping to on-time delivery.
- Ensure the highest quality assurance standards, minimizing in-production regressions through Test-Driven Development.
- Assess engineering talent, align roles, provide training, and scale the team as needed.
- Reinforce proactive learning with regular training on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Build an engineering culture where top talent thrives, contributing to a 40 eNPS score.
- Develop a 3-year roadmap for software, infrastructure, data, and security.
- Identify AI/ML opportunities and implement a roadmap to leverage automation.
- Continuously prototype emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Partner with the Product team to ensure a balance between feature delivery and technical sustainability.
- Collaborate with GTM teams to support customer success and product adoption.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors, investors, and executive team to align technology strategy with company growth.
- Proven experience in leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Expertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, security best practices, and AI-driven innovation.
- Strong ability to balance technical execution with strategic business objectives.
- Deep knowledge of best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, and scalable infrastructure management.
- Passion for building products that deliver measurable customer value and drive industry disruption.
- Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
