We are on the lookout for a dynamic Accounting Consultant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving, and has a passion for accounting in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of financial and accounting tasks, including month-end reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and analysis of results.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
• Engage in special projects as assigned, which may include financial analysis, process improvement initiatives, and support for strategic planning.
• Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance accounting processes and operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial procedures.
• Provide financial and accounting consultation to management, suggesting actions to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Proven experience with month-end reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and handling special projects.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to create and report on financial data.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
