We are a non-profit organization that supports the community! Our team has solid leadership and work/life balance. The Accounts Payable Specialist will have the opportunity to work along side a tenured team and to build out their skills.

This is a temporary assignment covering an leave of absence. We anticipate 6 - 8 weeks, working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

This role will offer you the opportunity to showcase your accounting skills and make a significant contribution to our financial operations. As a Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a key player in maintaining our financial records and ensuring our payments are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

As a Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist, you will

• Process and manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoicing, data entry, and vendor management.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to vendor inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Use Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets, track expenses, and generate reports.
• Research and rectify any discrepancies in invoices and payments.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline the accounts payable process.
• Provide support to the accounting team as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist position will have

• A minimum of 1 years of experience in an accounts payable role or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to vendors.
• Experience in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Strong research skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
• A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
