We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Business Systems Analyst to join our Tech Services team. This role is an exciting opportunity to drive change and impact business outcomes through the alignment of technology solutions with business strategies. As a Consulting Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing our business processes and systems, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Business Systems Analyst to join our Tech Services team. As a Consulting Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing our business processes and systems, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business problems and assess how automated systems can be implemented to solve them.
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on both user needs and an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
- Translate business requirements into application requirements.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, GUI, screen and interface designs.
- Ensure compliance with IT SOX regulations and guidelines.
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst role in the Tech Services industry.
- Demonstrated experience with business process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes required.
- Advanced experience in requirements gathering, use cases documentation, business process flow, data modeling methodologies.
- Experience with IT SOX compliance and regulations.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies is a plus.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) would be an advantage.
