Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Consulting CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who is not just looking for a job, but a career where they can make a significant impact. As a Consulting CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. You will be working with the latest technology and machinery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation is valued and growth is inevitable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
• Maintain machinery, adjusting and repairing as necessary.
• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the production process.
• Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine, etc.
• Monitor machine operation and control panel display and compare results to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC lathe machinist in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Excellent knowledge of 3-axis and 4-axis machining.
• Experience with lathe operation, blueprint reading, precision measurement, CNC machine operation, machine setup, and tooling.
• An in-depth understanding of the properties of metal and other material.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong team player.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
