Our company, a leading name in the manufacturing industry, is actively seeking a seasoned and proficient 2nd shift Consulting CNC Mill Machinist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This position requires a high level of expertise in CNC programming, 5 Axis Milling, Mastercam, GD&T, Fanuc, and Tooling.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain CNC machines to ensure the production of high-quality parts.
• Interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the best sequence of operations.
• Utilize Mastercam software to generate CNC programs for 4 and 5 Axis milling operations.
• Implement and monitor tooling strategies to optimize machining processes.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Fanuc CNC controls.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CNC Machinist role in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven expertise in CNC programming, 5 Axis Milling, Mastercam, GD&T, Fanuc, and Tooling.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
• Ability to train and mentor junior machinists.
• Proven ability to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work the 2nd shift.
