Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all parts and materials required for construction projects, ensuring they are available when needed and stored correctly.
- Work closely with electricians and other construction professionals, providing them with necessary parts and materials and offering guidance on their use.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of parts and materials, regularly conducting audits to ensure accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers to order new stock, negotiate prices, and arrange delivery schedules.
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, providing input on the use of parts and materials.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to parts and materials, offering practical and efficient solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards in the handling and use of parts and materials.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders on parts and materials status.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in parts and materials management, including ordering, inventory control, and supplier liaison.
- Experience working as an electrical helper or with electricians, with a strong understanding of electrical parts and their applications.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including inventory management and project management tools.
- A strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
- A degree in a relevant field would be considered an asset, though not essential.
