We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Consulting Tax Specialist Supervisor to join our team. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to utilize your skills in tax review, customer service, and coaching within a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising 6-10 entry-level tax specialists, reviewing returns, and providing strategic tax advice to our clientele. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of Federal and State Tax laws, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong customer service orientation. This position is particularly active during the tax season.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 6-10 entry-level tax specialists, providing guidance, direction, and coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
• Review tax returns prepared by the team for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with Federal and State tax laws.
• Provide high-level customer service, resolving client issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Listen to phone calls between tax specialists and clients to ensure proper procedures are being followed and to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide strategic tax advice to clients, utilizing your deep understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal and State tax laws and regulations, and ensure this knowledge is effectively communicated to the team.
• Ensure the team is fully prepared and efficient during the busy tax season, managing workloads and schedules effectively.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a tax-related role, with a specific focus on Federal and State Tax laws.
• Need to be an EA (enrolled agent) or CPA.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve client issues effectively and professionally.
• Strong listening skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement in communication and procedure.
• High-level knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to provide strategic tax advice to clients.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during the busy tax season.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A relevant degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
