We are seeking an experienced Consulting Technical Publication Writer with a strong background in Aerospace Manufacturing. This role is integral to our team, providing expert technical writing services to support the development and publication of high-quality technical documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining technical manuals, procedures, and guides that are critical to our manufacturing operations. This role requires a deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and comprehensive documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including but not limited to, manufacturing procedures, technical manuals, user guides, and process specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts to gather and interpret technical information.
• Translate complex technical concepts and processes into clear, concise, and reader-friendly documentation.
• Review and revise documents for accuracy, clarity, appropriateness, and consistency with existing documentation and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on business needs and deadlines.
• Provide technical writing consultation to various departments, advising on best practices for technical documentation.
• Utilize document management systems and other tools to maintain and organize documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in technical writing and aerospace manufacturing.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and comprehensive written documentation.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures within the aerospace industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in using technical writing tools and document management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business needs and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to aerospace manufacturing is a plus.
• Certification from the Society for Technical Communication or similar professional organization is preferred.
