The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, year-end close, property, financial statements, Reconcile, GL, Accruals, and more. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Accountant, your main responsibilities will include
- Overseeing and managing financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Performing property accounting functions and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Leading the year-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Utilizing Yardi software to manage and track all financial data effectively.
- Reconciling GL accounts and making necessary adjustments.
- Preparing and posting monthly accruals and entries, and maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and drive business growth.
- Providing support for internal and external audits.
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. ( a understanding of property accounting is a plus)
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
- Expertise in year-end close procedures, financial statement preparation, and GL reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of accruals
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make effective decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
