Responsibilities
As a Permanent Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Managing Accounts Receivable (A/R) and General Ledger (GL) entries.
- Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyzing financial reports and providing insights to the management team.
- Assisting in budget preparation and expense management activities for future needs and projects.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Using QuickBooks to track and manage financial data, including sales receipts, invoices, and payments.
- Collaborating with the financial team and other departments to optimize financial operations and strategic projects.
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial management software.
- Solid understanding of financial processes, including A/R, GL, and monthly reporting.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
