Job Details

• Managing the complete cycle of Accounts Payable and Joint Interest Billing (JIB) with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintaining and updating the general ledger and journal entries on a regular basis.
• Tracking and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
• Using OGSYS and Quorum software for managing and processing financial data.
• Assisting in the financial operations of the energy, oil, and gas sectors of the company.
• Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Managing vendor agreements, ensuring all financial agreements are up-to-date and accurately recorded.
• Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Making accruals and deferrals to ensure that revenues and expenditures are allocated to the correct accounting periods.
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Energy industry.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as OGSYS and Quorum is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including Accounts Payable, JIB, ledger and journal entries, expenditure tracking, and vendor agreements.
• Experience in energy, oil, and gas accounting is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify financial discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
