Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for science? If so, we are looking for you! We are seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team in the scientific industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This is a unique opportunity to combine your love for numbers with the thrilling world of scientific discovery.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Accounting Clerk, your duties will include but are not limited to

• Utilizing Netsuite to manage financial transactions and create financial reports.
• Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of entries.
• Processing business transactions and ensuring that all entries are recorded accurately in the ledger.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborating with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems.
• Conducting data entry responsibilities.
• Assisting with general office admin responsibilities
• Assist with payroll
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Netsuite or an equivalent accounting software.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of entries.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
• High degree of familiarity with ledger functions and the process of closing books.
• An associate's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
