Job Details
We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The position involves a wide range of responsibilities from overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department to preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting management and possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, General Ledger, and Treasury.
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Perform month-end and year-end close process.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Experience with financial software systems such as Sage and Netsuite.
- Strong understanding of month-end/year-end processes.
