We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the accounting operations of our company. Responsibilities
As an Accounting Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include
- Supervising daily accounting operations including ledger maintenance, entries, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of monthly financial reports.
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
- Overseeing shared services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes, improve functionality, and support company-wide financial objectives.
- Coordinating with external auditors to carry out periodic audits.
- Training and mentoring accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Utilizing advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Contributing to special projects as needed.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar financial software.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) and other accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate monthly financial reports.
- Proven experience in reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Exceptional skills in Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookup, and other advanced functions.
- Solid understanding of internal controls and risk management.
- Experience in managing shared services in a complex organization.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring staff.
- Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify financial discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA designation is a plus.
