We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AP Accountant to join our vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is ready to apply their skills and knowledge to a fast-paced, diverse, and growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in Accounts Payable (AP). The role requires advanced proficiency in Excel, Great Plains, Ledger, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

As a AP Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that ensure the smooth and efficient running of our financial operations. Your duties will include

• Managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconciling AP transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
• Assisting with month-end closing processes and preparing financial statements.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an AP Accountant role or similar.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Great Plains and Ledger software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, data analysis, and forecasting.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and vendors.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to identify and solve problems independently.
