We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled individual for the role of a Permanent Assistant Controller in the Accounting and Finance industry. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.

Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
- Overseeing the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
- Implementing and maintaining reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
- Working closely with the Controller to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department.
- Utilizing Sage Intacct software for various accounting and financial tasks.
- Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with specific experience in Sage Intacct.
- Strong understanding of treasury management, financial reporting, monthly reporting, healthcare accounting, fixed assets, and consolidations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to effectively communicate complex financial data and information to non-financial colleagues.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting principles.
