Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement and manage financial policies and procedures
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close checklist
- Produce and analyze monthly financial reporting package and MD&A
- Maintain internal control over accounting functions
- Support department managers and physicians with financial data
- Supervise clerical accounting staff and review payroll analysis
- Reconcile bank and intercompany accounts
- Conduct EOB and other ad hoc financial analyses
- Act as backup to Accountant II and Controller
- Execute special projects as assigned by executive leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Experience with Excel pivots, VLookups, macros
- Proven analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred 3 years in public accounting, CPA or CMA, healthcare finance background
