We are seeking a seasoned MEP Superintendent with a concentration in Healthcare to join our dynamic construction team. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in ground-up construction projects, primarily focused on healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP systems and low voltage, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the construction process for MEP systems, ensuring that work is carried out according to the project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise onsite MEP trades, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications, providing guidance and direction to the project team.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve any potential design or construction issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage the commissioning process of MEP systems, ensuring that systems are functioning correctly before handover.
• Provide regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting any potential issues or delays.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in MEP systems, incorporating this knowledge into project planning and execution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a superintendent role, with a focus on MEP systems in healthcare construction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of low voltage systems and ground-up construction processes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex MEP drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools, including project management software and CAD.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR, with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on project needs and deadlines.
