Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil defense litigation cases involving insurance defense, liability, product, premises, and auto claims
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
- Manage a caseload and meet deadlines
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar, with a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law.
- Extensive experience in Civil Defense Litigation, particularly in Insurance Defense cases.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of liability, product, premises, auto, and trucking accident laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional client service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
