Responsibilities
As a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney, your duties will include but are not limited to
- Defending medical malpractice claims with diligence and integrity.
- Taking and defending depositions in a range of cases.
- Handling all stages of litigation from NOI through trial.
- Preparing and managing cases effectively.
- Preparing for trials meticulously, ensuring all relevant information, documents, and evidence are ready for presentation.
- Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents with precision and accuracy.
- Staying updated with current laws and regulations within the healthcare industry.
- Providing legal advice to clients, presenting case strategies, and helping them understand their legal rights and options.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- 5 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in defending medical malpractice claims.
- Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
- Demonstrated experience in handling NOI through trial, case preparation, and trial preparation.
- Excellent communication and writing skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external parties.
- Proven ability to handle a large workload, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges and obstacles.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
