We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This position will provide an opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters including civil rights, governmental and municipal law, business and education law, commercial disputes, mass torts, and asbestos-related cases. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This position will provide an opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters including civil rights, governmental and municipal law, business and education law, commercial disputes, mass torts, and asbestos-related cases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in high-level legal research, drafting, negotiation, and litigation. Responsibilities
- Provide legal representation to clients, presenting facts, arguing causes, and preparing legal documents.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil rights, governmental, municipal, business, education, commercial disputes, mass torts, and asbestos-related cases.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Advocate for clients in court by presenting evidence, questioning witnesses, and arguing points of law and fact.
- Consult with clients and advise them on their legal rights and obligations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on case progress.
- Collaborate with legal team members to develop effective case strategies and ensure the highest level of client service.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be a member in good standing of the state bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, preferably within the areas of civil rights, governmental, municipal, business, education, commercial disputes, mass torts, and asbestos.
- Proven experience in managing a diverse caseload and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to resolve disputes favorably.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
