Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney, preferably with a background in public sector law to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling employment issues within government agencies, municipalities, or public institutions, including collective bargaining, union negotiations, and compliance with civil service laws.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel on labor and employment matters for public sector clients.
Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings.
Negotiate and draft collective bargaining agreements and employment contracts.
Advise on compliance with civil service laws, FMLA, ADA, and other employment-related regulations.
Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement employment policies and strategies.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active FL Bar
5 years of experience in labor and employment law
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with state, municipal, or federal agencies.
Familiarity with public employment statutes and regulations.
