Responsibilities
As a BAS/Controls Estimator, you will be responsible for
- Developing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
- Evaluating and adjusting estimates to ensure they align with project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Participating in the tender process, including the preparation of detailed proposals and bid packages.
- Providing strategic recommendations to optimize cost efficiency and project performance.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and market conditions to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Implementing risk management strategies to minimize potential project cost overruns.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and secure the best deals.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the BAS/Controls industry.
- Previous experience within mechanical contracting.
- Strong computer skills and strong communication abilities .
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- The ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- A strong sense of professionalism and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
