Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bookkeeper to join our fast-paced finance team. This is a permanent position that requires an individual with a strong background in collections and a high degree of accuracy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. If you are a detail-oriented professional who has a knack for numbers, we would like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
• Perform partial checks of the posting process.
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
• Conduct collection efforts and customer outreach to maintain low levels of receivables.
• Complete tax forms.
• Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements.
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to complete annual audits.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Experience in using accounting software.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
• Proven experience in collections and managing receivables.
