We are seeking a passionate and experienced Building Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to play an integral role in the upkeep and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing facilities are in optimal working condition to facilitate efficient production processes. This position requires a hands-on individual with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, building maintenance, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities :
1. Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing facilities to identify and rectify potential maintenance issues.
2. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery, equipment, and facilities are in good working order.
3. Implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
4. Assist in the planning and execution of major repair and renovation projects.
5. Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
7. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance services.
8. Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and initiate reordering when necessary.
9. Document all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
10. Participate in the development of maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance requirements.
3. Proficiency in using various tools, equipment, and computer systems for maintenance work.
4. Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
8. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy machinery and work in different conditions.
9. Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
10. Relevant certification or diploma in a related field would be an added advantage.
