Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Sonographer Supervisor, you will be responsible for
- Supervising the daily operations of the Cardiac Sonography department, including staff scheduling, workflow management, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac sonography best practices and ensuring that all staff are trained and competent in these practices.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Developing and managing the department budget, including forecasting and planning for future needs.
- Participating in facility planning and engineering, including the planning and execution of facility upgrades and expansions.
- Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing training programs to promote professional development and improve patient care.
- Handling patient complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Working closely with the management team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
To be considered for the Cardiac Sonographer Supervisor position, candidates must possess the following
- A minimum of five years of experience in cardiac sonography, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
- A degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in facility planning and engineering.
- Experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of healthcare regulations and standards.
- The ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent.
