Responsibilities

As a Certified Welding Inspector, your primary responsibilities will include

• Conducting regular inspections of welding work, using advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to ensure the quality and safety of the
  
  

welds.

• Interpreting and implementing welding codes and standards, including AWS, ASME, and ISO.
• Preparing detailed inspection reports, documenting any defects or deviations from standards, and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
• Providing technical guidance and support to welding personnel, promoting best practices in welding techniques and safety procedures.
• Liaising with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate inspection findings and to coordinate any necessary rework or
  
  

repairs.

• Participating in project planning and review meetings, contributing to the development of welding procedures and quality control plans.
• Keeping up-to-date with developments in welding technology and inspection methods, and participating in ongoing professional development
  
  

activities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need

• A valid certification (CWI) from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including ultrasonic testing.
• Detailed knowledge of welding codes and standards, including AWS, ASME, and ISO.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• The ability to work independently and to make sound technical decisions.
• A commitment to safety and quality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
