Our organization is seeking a seasoned and innovative Chief Civil Engineer to spearhead our engineering team. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be responsible for overseeing all civil engineering projects, including design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate will be a natural problem-solver with a deep understanding of infrastructure planning, civil engineering principles, and project management.

Responsibilities

As a Chief Civil Engineer, you will be tasked with

• Overseeing all civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Developing and implementing detailed project plans, including resources, timelines, and budgets.
• Reviewing and approving project designs and plans, ensuring they meet all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
• Leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and contractors, to ensure project requirements are met.
• Performing quality control checks on projects, identifying any issues or areas of improvement.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
• Preparing and presenting detailed reports on project progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
• Managing the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Ensuring all projects adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be highly advantageous.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior civil engineering role.
• Proficient in using engineering software for design and simulation.
• Extensive experience with QC, drawings, and civil engineering principles.
• Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
