The Chief Innovation Officer will lead research and development initiatives, driving innovation and overseeing the development of new products and technologies. This role requires a visionary leader capable of managing a diverse team of scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of creativity, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive R&D strategies that align with SRI's mission and objectives.
Team Management Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
Project Oversight Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of research projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
Innovation Promotion Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the development of groundbreaking solutions to complex challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions, to promote collaborative research efforts.
Resource Management Manage the R&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize project outcomes.
Compliance Assurance Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Experience Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in research and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Track Record Proven success in leading large-scale R&D projects and bringing innovative products or technologies to market.
Leadership Skills Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
Communication Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
Industry Knowledge Deep understanding of current trends and advancements in relevant scientific and technological fields.
