We are on a quest to find a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our thriving team. Our ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with an unwavering commitment to the construction industry. You will be responsible for managing a wide variety of construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards of quality. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in the growth and success of our company while working on exciting and challenging projects.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Project Manager, you will be expected to

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation, ensuring the project's completion within the specified timeframe and budget.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Review and manage all project changes, risks, and issues, ensuring that all changes are appropriately documented and approved.
• Prepare, submit, and manage project change orders, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected and tracked in the project budget and schedule.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and other construction professionals, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Permanent Project Manager, you should possess the following

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Proven experience managing change orders and understanding their impact on project scope, cost, and schedule.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead a team and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they become problems.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of building and safety regulations.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
