We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to be a part of our dynamic team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to participate in high-profile projects that shape the future of our community and beyond. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and management of infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for all aspects of site design, including permitting and zoning. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and at least 5 years of experience in the engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive design plans for various infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water supply systems.
- Conduct site investigations to ensure the feasibility of proposed construction projects.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress and completion of projects to stakeholders.
- Handle the permitting process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Oversee zoning regulations and compliance, liaising with local, state, and federal authorities as necessary.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals on project design and implementation.
- Utilize design software and drawing tools to create clear, visually compelling project plans.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Ensure projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company procedures and adheres to professional and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A valid PE (Professional Engineer) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Proven track record of managing a project from conception to completion.
- Familiarity with design standards and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
- Strong understanding of the permitting and zoning process.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
