The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing nutrition programs, and evaluating and reporting the results. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, considering their medical history, lifestyle, dietary habits, and preferences.
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized nutrition care plans based on the specific needs and conditions of patients.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide dietary counseling and education to patients and their families to promote healthy eating habits and prevent disease.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest nutrition research, guidelines, and best practices.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient privacy and data security.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition care.
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification.
- Excellent knowledge of clinical nutrition and the ability to translate this knowledge into practical dietary advice.
- Strong ability to assess patients' nutritional status and develop individualized care plans.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain complex dietary concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
