Responsibilities
- Programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills to produce precision parts.
- Interpreting complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Selecting and installing appropriate tools and fixtures for the machining process.
- Adjusting and setting machine controls according to product specifications.
- Monitoring machine operations to ensure adherence to design specifications and to detect malfunctions.
- Inspecting and measuring completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Collaborating with design engineers and other team members to resolve machining problems.
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior machinists.
- Regularly maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
- Proven experience with specialty metals and conventional machine tools.
- Proficient in using CAD and CAM software (Fusion 360)
- Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Demonstrated experience in CNC programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
