Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Client Servicing
Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policy coverage, billing, claims, and endorsements.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and resolving issues professionally.
Policy Management
Assist in the preparation, issuance, and delivery of certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and binders.
Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals in a timely manner.
Ensure accuracy of policy documents and maintain organized client files.
Support to Account Managers/Producers
Collaborate with account managers to gather information needed for new business and renewals.
Prepare quotes, proposals, and summaries of insurance for client presentations.
Follow up on outstanding items with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders.
Carrier Communication
Work with insurance carriers to resolve underwriting, billing, and coverage issues.
Submit applications, endorsements, and requests to carriers and track responses.
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system (e.g., EPIC, AMS360).
Ensure compliance with agency standards and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Cross-Selling and Referrals
Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional coverages or refer leads to account managers or producers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; some college education or insurance certifications (CISR, CIC) preferred.
1-3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance or a related field.
Active Property & Casualty Insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Knowledge of commercial insurance lines such as general liability, property, workers' compensation, and auto.
Desired Skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with insurance carriers, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
