Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to manage both state and federal litigation matters for a growing law firm. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the firm’s litigation partners, senior associates, of counsel attorneys, and a skilled paralegal team. You will work on a variety of exciting cases, including commercial, real estate, intellectual property litigation, class action defense, and other business disputes, both in Texas and nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day case tasks such as filing, scheduling, and document preparation.
Oversee case deadlines and ensure proper tracking of all litigation materials.
Act as a liaison between attorneys, court administrators, judges, and opposing counsel.
Draft pleadings, discovery shells, and correspondence; prepare trial exhibits.
Coordinate depositions and court reporter schedules.
Assist with document production and review, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
Communicate directly with clients and keep them informed about case progress.
Perform light clerical tasks, supported by administrative staff, as needed.
Potentially assist with legal research and section-specific training.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of state and federal litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
Minimum of 1 year of trademark litigation or prosecution experience. Patent litigation experience is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and E-filing systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys and clients.
Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and stay proactive with case management.
A Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
